Role Purpose

The Transformation & Acceleration Lead will drive the enterprise priorities across the organisation, acting as a catalyst for organisational change and steward of transformation excellence. The role strengthens management systems, accelerates strategic initiatives, and institutionalizes a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, quality, and operational excellence.

Role Accountability

A. Enterprise Alignment & Business Excellence

  1. Build and lead the Business Excellence/Transformation function to enable execution of the organizational strategic vision across the organization.
  2. Cascade organizational priorities to functional teams, ensuring delivery within defined timelines and expected standards.

B. Program Leadership & Transformation Delivery

  1. Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of board-level programs, enterprise transformation initiatives, and BAU improvement mandates.
  2. Conduct structured monthly reviews (PPRC, PSC, Productivity Review, etc.) to assess existing processes, identify improvement opportunities, and design solutions through benchmarking, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration.
  3. Drive diagnostics and opportunity assessment through analytics, industry insights, and cost-benefit analysis; build business cases for internal and Board approvals.
  4. Lead structured program execution through robust project management (BRDs, cost-benefit estimation, stakeholder management) and governance bodies (Steering Committees, TPNC, ITGC, ITSC).

C. Quality Function Leadership (Lean Six Sigma & Continuous Improvement)

Lead the Quality function, responsible for designing, governing, and executing functional improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma methodology (Green Belt/Black Belt level).

  1. Drive defect reduction, process optimisation, waste elimination, and productivity enhancement across key business functions.
  2. Establish a standardised Quality Management Framework, including DMAIC-based project execution, tollgate governance, quality metrics, and benefit realisation.
  3. Build Lean Six Sigma capability across the organisation through structured training, coaching, and certification pathways.
  4. Ensure quality-driven insights feed into transformation, policy changes, customer experience improvements, and process re-engineering initiatives.

D. Financial Governance & Value Realisation

  1. Oversee end-to-end budgeting across initiatives, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
  2. Drive benefit sign-off from stakeholders and manage three-year value tracking and reporting to senior leadership and the Board.
  3. Prepare quarterly updates, internal briefing notes, and Board-level documents.

E. Capability Enablement & Handover Management

Ensure smooth transition of completed initiatives to business owners through structured handover, documentation, and knowledge transfer.

F. Innovation, Ideation & Strategy Committees

  1. Drive enterprise-wide innovation programs, digitize ideation workflows, and improve turnaround time for internal customer delight.
  2. Own governance and coordination for key management committees such as PPRC, PSC, and Ideation Committee.

G. Audit & Risk Management

Lead preparation for internal audits, CAG, RBI and other regulatory audits, ensuring timely resolution of audit observations.

H. Business Intelligence & Reporting Automation

Build automated dashboards, reports, and repositories to strengthen business intelligence and support data-driven decision making.

  5. Adoption and scale-up of Lean Six Sigma, ideation, and innovation practices

Technical Skills / Experience

  1. Strong analytical and data interpretation capabilities
  2. Ability to synthesize insights from large data volumes and present compelling narratives
  3. Exposure to the BFSI landscape and regulatory environment
  4. Experience in cross-functional stakeholder management, project leadership, and business case development
  5. Experience in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt/Black Belt) preferred
  6. Team leadership and collaboration skills

Qualification

Masters in Business Administration in any relevant discipline. Experience in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt/Black Belt) preferred.
