About the Role:
An insurance tech organization is on the lookout for Senior Vice President Software Development.
Responsibilities:
o Define and drive the long-term technology vision aligned with business objectives.
o Build and maintain enterprise systems with a focus on auto-scaling, fault tolerance, and cost-optimized cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
o Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
o Introduce and adopt structured frameworks such as the Team Software Process (TSP) to improve software quality, team productivity, and project predictability.
o Lead and mentor engineering, DevOps, cybersecurity, and IT operations teams.
o Oversee cybersecurity risk management, incident response, and data privacy protocols.
Requirements:
o 10+ years of technology leadership experience, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
o Proven experience leading cloud transformation, preferably on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
o Strong background in infrastructure design, auto-scaling, network security, and disaster recovery planning.
o Solid knowledge of DevOps practices, container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes), and automation frameworks.
