Job Description
About Signant Health & Ametris
Signant Health is a global leader in clinical trial technology, trusted by the world's leading CROs and biopharmaceutical companies to deliver smarter, more connected research. As the parent company of Ametris — a pioneer in digital health with over 20 years of expertise in clinical research — Signant combines advanced wearable sensor technology, expert scientific consultation, and regulatory-aligned analytics to support every phase of a trial, from study design through regulatory submission. At the intersection of artificial intelligence and clinical innovation, Signant Health is actively integrating AI-driven capabilities across its platform to accelerate trial design, enhance data quality, and unlock deeper insights from complex clinical datasets.
Ametris is the thought and market share leader in wearable-based solutions supporting academic research and biopharmaceutical clinical trials. Its FDA-cleared wearable monitors and robust analytics platform have been widely adopted to quantify human movement in academic and population health research for nearly two decades — and are now the most widely used research-grade activity monitoring system in the world, with clients at more than 1,500 university and scientific institutions across 100+ countries.
Ametris – a Signant Health Company is seeking a Senior Vice President, Global Commercial Sales who can translate Ametris unique scientific expertise into sustained commercial growth. This leader will strengthen our position as the trusted partner for wearable digital biomarkers and clinical research while building strategic customer relationships, expanding global partnerships, and leading the next phase of commercial evolution as part of Signant Health.
We are looking for a commercial leader who can help redefine how wearable digital biomarkers are adopted across pharmaceutical research. This is an opportunity to lead one of the industry's most respected scientific brands while helping accelerate its next stage of growth as part of Signant Health.
Reporting to the CEO, the Senior Vice President, Global Commercial will lead Sales, Business Development, Strategic Partnerships, Marketing, and Customer Success for the Ametris business while serving as a key member of the executive leadership team. This leader will partner closely with Signant's commercial organization to accelerate growth while preparing for long-term integration across the combined company.
What you will own:
Leading the commercial transformation of Ametris as it enters its next phase of growth by modernizing the commercial strategy, expanding into new markets, building strategic partnerships, and strengthening enterprise selling, with the goal of creating predictable revenue growth.
• Owning full global go-to-market execution — new business acquisition, long-term strategic customer partnerships, and team development
• Evolving and executing Ametris commercial strategy, including sales process, marketing approach, pricing, and market segmentation as the target market expands
• Building and sustaining a customer-centric, evidence-based commercial culture that maximizes revenue opportunities across net new and existing accounts
• Expanding strategic relationships with global pharmaceutical companies, CROs, and research organizations while identifying new opportunities to broaden Ametris market impact.
• Hiring, mentoring, and managing a growing team of sales and business development professionals across multiple geographies
• Collaborating with the Signant Health leadership team to align Ametris commercial strategy with the broader corporate platform
• Driving pipeline growth through education, credibility-building, and consultative commercial leadership across complex healthcare buying environments
What We're Looking For
• Leadership experience within an enterprise software or SaaS company, ideally within pharmaceutical or life sciences
• Demonstrated track record of scaling a go-to-market organization in a high-growth enterprise software or SaaS environment
• Proven success establishing and managing a multi-channel, consultative go-to-market strategy that drives revenue across existing customers, new accounts, and verticals
• Track record of building, scaling, mentoring, and managing high-performing sales organizations across multiple regions and geographies
• Significant experience commercializing evidence-based clinical technology solutions into top-tier global pharmaceutical and life sciences customers
• Deep knowledge of the biopharmaceutical clinical trials process and the CRO landscape — this is a prerequisite, not a preference
• Experience working with a PE sponsor and understanding value creation in a growth-stage company; ability to grow with the company as the customer base and product offering broadens
• Commercial experience in a healthcare setting is required.
Leadership & Mindset:
Success in this role is built on trust. Ametris has earned its reputation by combining scientific rigor, regulatory credibility, and exceptional customer partnership. The ideal leader will strengthen that legacy through consultative commercial leadership, evidence-based selling, and a relentless focus on customer outcomes while expanding the company's impact across the global clinical research community.
• The successful leader will help accelerate commercial growth, expand enterprise relationships, strengthen market positioning, and build scalable commercial capabilities that support the next phase of Ametris evolution.
• Success requires leading highly consultative enterprise sales cycles that combine science, technology, regulatory expertise, and strategic partnerships.
• A track record of successfully introducing innovative scientific or clinical technologies into complex healthcare markets.
• Exceptional leadership skills; able to build infrastructure that develops, mentors, delegates, and holds people accountable while strategically setting direction and tactically executing
• Clear go-to-market strategy mindset with a track record of shared commercial success across sales, marketing, and partnerships
• Data-driven with strong analytical and quantitative skills; metrics-oriented in how they build and manage teams and pipelines
• Fluent in AI — understands how artificial intelligence is reshaping clinical research and drug development, and can credibly engage customers and partners on how Ametris AI-enabled analytics and Signant Health's broader AI-driven platform create distinct competitive advantage
• Understands that Ametris leads with the science — the wearable is one component of a broader, integrated offering — and can sell that distinction effectively to scientific and commercial audiences alike
Nice to Have
• Experience building an inside sales organization
• Experience selling into academic research institutions
• Familiarity with FDA-cleared or CE-marked digital biomarker products and their regulatory context
• Experience with decentralized clinical trial (DCT) or remote patient monitoring platforms
