The Opportunity

We are looking for an accomplished individual to join as Senior Vice President in our Funds Fiduciary team as part of our financial services business in Grand Cayman.

Your primary responsibilities include:

• coordinating the client acceptance process, reviewing transaction documents, exercising fiduciary duties;
• delivering high levels of client service while ensuring that each client relationship is compliant with internal policies and procedures;
• assist with the management of other professional and junior staff in a team environment, involvement with ad hoc projects and potentially representing the Maples Group at various industry association events as required;

What You Bring

In addition to a commitment to delivering superior candidate and stakeholder experiences:

• a university degree with an excellent academic background;
• an internationally recognised professional designation and at least eight to ten years’ relevant financial services experience;
• must have at least five to seven years previous directorship experience;
• strong knowledge of all forms of investment funds and strategies;
• experience in reviewing transaction documents and knowledge of corporate governance, relevant local laws and regulatory requirements is a must;
• an in depth understanding of financial statements;
• experience with unit trusts and conflict advisory consent services will be an advantage;
• experience liaising with lawyers, investment managers, institutional investors, administrators and other transaction parties located in various international jurisdictions;
• requisite knowledge to be able to function as an effective director on an investment fund board immediately;
• Experience managing a team involved in the provision of fiduciary services.

• superb attention to detail, professionalism, excellent organizational skills, and a team-first mentality;
• be a self-starter with the ability to handle a complex and diverse workload;
• strong drafting, critical thinking and communication skills;
• sound working knowledge of all Windows applications;
• experience with relationship management client service and new business development;
• excellent time management, prioritization and communication skills, both verbal and written (fluent written and oral English).

The successful candidate must be able to use his/her own initiative, work well under pressure to meet deadlines and be able to maintain confidentiality at all times. The Successful candidate may be required to work extended hours on short notice and occasionally on weekends.
