This role can be done hybrid: 2 days from the office in Wrocław.

Your Role
In your role as a Senior VAT Expert, you will drive indirect tax compliance and advisory activities across the European Union. You will prepare, submit, and review periodic VAT returns alongside required reporting like EC Sales Lists and Intrastat. Working closely with our global service center, you will provide strategic VAT advice, identify necessary system changes, and deliver internal training. You will lead or support key ERP and financial transformation projects to maximize outcomes. This position offers fantastic opportunities for professional growth as you champion operational standards within an international, collaborative environment.

Who you are:

  • At least 5–10 years of experience in finance with a strong focus on indirect taxation within a global corporate environment or an international professional service provider.
  • Academic degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; a certified tax advisor qualification is highly desirable.
  • Profound knowledge of EU indirect tax compliance, VAT accounting principles, and the ability to manage end-to-end VAT registration services.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SAP (R3 and S/4 HANA) for checking individual transactions, reporting, and automated tax determination processes.
  • Proven track record leading or supporting complex ERP deployments, financial transformations, or system optimization projects.
  • Experience working within a Shared Service organization, featuring solid skills in establishing service standards and driving process governance.
  • Advanced Excel capabilities matched with top-tier analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent English communication and presentation skills, combined with a collaborative, proactive "can-do" attitude
