Job Description

Senior Value Pricing and BD Manager

Corporate Affairs

Cairo, Egypt

Does your motivation come from solving complex challenges in a dynamic healthcare environment? Do you thrive when driving strategic pricing decisions and forging partnerships that bring life-changing treatments to patients? Then join us in Egypt where you'll shape access strategies and business development for Novo Nordisk's portfolio across the region.

Your new role

As Senior Value Pricing and BD Manager, you'll hold dual strategic responsibilities that directly impact patient access across Egypt and beyond. Reporting to the Corporate Affairs Director, you'll combine analytical rigor with relationship-building to ensure our innovations reach the patients who need them most.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading pricing strategy development and execution across Novo Nordisk's entire portfolio, balancing patient access with brand value through sophisticated list and net price modeling.
  • Driving the local pricing committee and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations while maintaining robust documentation in internal systems.
  • Developing tailored reimbursement dossiers, value propositions, and health economic models that resonate with national health authorities and payers in both public and private settings.
  • Identifying and evaluating new business opportunities including partnerships, alliances, and acquisitions that align with our growth and pipeline strategy.
  • Leading end-to-end licensing deal negotiations and alliance management, from initial contact through to contract execution and implementation.
  • Conducting due diligence for licensing projects and cultivating relationships with pharmaceutical companies, biotech firms, and academic institutions.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams across R&D, regulatory affairs, marketing, portfolio management, and legal to ensure strategic alignment.

Your new department

As part of International Operations, you will join our largest operational unit. Covering 194 countries and 95% of the world's population, more than 18,000 of us work passionately to serve 35 million patients each day. With a promise to outperform the competition, we continue to be the growth driver for Novo Nordisk, and to improve health at scale across the globe.

Within this dynamic environment, our Corporate Affairs team in Egypt is committed to ensuring access to Novo Nordisk innovations while reflecting our brands' true value. You'll work in close collaboration with various functions within the affiliate and regional teams, operating in a fast-paced atmosphere where your strategic contributions will have immediate and lasting impact on patients' lives.

Your skills & qualifications

We're looking for a strategic thinker with deep expertise in both pricing and business development who can navigate the complexities of the Egyptian healthcare landscape. You'll bring:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including 5+ years in business development roles with a proven track record of signing and facilitating deals.
  • Deep understanding of the Egyptian healthcare ecosystem and regulatory landscape, coupled with a robust network across pharmaceutical companies in the MENA region.
  • Advanced quantitative and analytical capabilities with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling to conduct sophisticated pricing impact analyses.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders, build consensus, and explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Proven project management experience handling complex issues under tight deadlines while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred) and fluency in English.
