Job Description

About Liip

'Hallo' from St. Gallen, Zurich, Basel and Bern, and 'salut' from Fribourg and Lausanne: we are Liip, a Swiss digital agency with a strong mindset. Around 200 experts in strategy, creation and web/app development working in an agile way in self-organised teams using Holacracy. This means no hierarchical structure, just people who take ownership and make things happen – and always with a social, environmental and economic impact. We have been doing this since 2007. This is valued by not only us, but also customers and award panels. How about you?

We are looking for a Senior UX Strategist and Researcher You put research and strategy at the center of every project, and you know how to make it pay off. You take unclear, complex problems and turn them into evidence, structure, and a strategy that works in the real world, with real technical, organisational, and political limits. You know how to walk into a public tender or a client meeting, make the case for the right UX approach, and win the work.

You work on challenging digital projects for large organisations in key industries (Public Administration, Finance, Luxury or Healthcare). You are there from the first workshop to the final concept, and often earlier than that, spotting the opportunity before the scope is even fixed.

Your profile as Senior UX Strategist & Researcher

  • Strategy & Evaluation You shape research into a value proposition that works, test your assumptions, and back your recommendations with evidence.

  • Leadership You lead conceptually, but you give others room to bring their own vision. You hold a strong opinion only when it truly matters, and you trust your team the rest of the time.

  • Pitches You lead UX pitches, from strategy to content, and present with the confidence to win, fluently in German and English (French is a plus).

  • Research You run interviews, surveys, and usability tests, and translate data into clear decisions.

  • Architecture You bring structure to complexity: information architecture, journeys, navigation concepts. You can also sketch or prototype UI when a project needs it.

A day as a Senior UX Strategist & Researcher

  • You lead UX research and strategy on our biggest projects, from discovery to a concept validated with real users.

  • You run several of these projects at once, because you trust your team to carry the details across the finish line.

  • You spot opportunities early, in existing accounts and open tenders, and shape the best value proposition.

  • You write and present the UX chapters of our tenders, work closely with Design, Content, and Development, and handle accessibility and procurement rules along the way.

What we offer

  • Self-organisation at all levels

  • A flexible workload that can be tailored

  • Fair and transparent pay

  • Our culture, we do it the #liipway

  • BS: An office in central Basel
