• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience in product design or UX.

Preferred qualifications

• Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in product design or UX.
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams of designers, researchers, engineers, content strategists and product managers.
• Experience designing end-to-end features and shepherding that work through the full lifecycle of design from kickoff through implementation.
• Experience designing for native mobile consumer applications including across a variety of device types.

As a Senior UX Designer for Messages Monetization and Protection, you will have a particular focus on our nascent RCS for Business team. In this role, you will form one of the anchor points of a growing presence of Android Business Communications (ABC) staff in Europe. Key areas of focus will be on the consumer experiences that brands leverage to communicate with customers across both Android and iOS devices.

Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of our users, relevant technologies, and our broader market.
• Work alongside a more junior designer to influence high-level design direction, organize stakeholder worksessions, and provide mentorship.
• Create storyboards, wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and interactive prototypes to guide design and development and present and explain the rationale behind your designs showing thoughtful attention to data, a clear approach to design storytelling, and an eagerness to receive feedback.
• Iterate on designs based on user feedback, peer feedback, tech constraints, and market dynamics.
• Support and guide the front-end engineering team to faithfully implement design and direction, adhering to Google’s product excellence principles.
