Superlanet is seeking a Senior Unified Communications Engineer to support our healthcare client in Texas. This role is responsible for providing technical leadership across network and infrastructure environments, with a focus on delivering reliable, scalable solutions across LAN, WAN, wireless, and enterprise systems.
This is a full-time position with an expectation of onsite or hybrid support, given the hands-on nature of infrastructure responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, offering guidance on complex infrastructure initiatives
Design, implement, and support network infrastructure solutions across LAN, WAN, wireless, and firewall environments
Lead troubleshooting efforts, perform root cause analysis, and deliver timely resolution of system and network issues
Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning, including testing and documentation
Manage system capacity, performance, and lifecycle planning using monitoring tools and analytics
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support enterprise applications, including EMR and business-critical systems
Apply change and release management best practices, ensuring proper testing and documentation of all deployments
Participate in on-call support and assist with after-hours maintenance as needed
Qualifications
6+ years of experience in network engineering or infrastructure support
Strong hands-on experience with Cisco technologies (LAN/WAN, wireless, VoIP, routing/switching)
Experience with core networking protocols and services (DNS, DHCP, SNMP, SMTP, etc.)
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and system issues
Experience with system design, capacity planning, and performance optimization
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business terms
Preferred Qualifications
CCNA or CCNP certification required; CCIE preferred
Experience supporting healthcare environments or regulated industries
Experience with third-party PBX systems and enterprise telephony environments
