
Key Accountabilities & Role Requirements:
Underwriting individual risks
Managing market dynamics through the market cycle
Pipeline and development of opportunities with key brokers
Managing internal stakeholders
Work within agreed Underwriting Authority and Westfield Specialty International Underwriting framework
Deputise for the Head of International Liability where required
Cross sell with other lines of business (particularly Property / FinPro)
Working with colleagues to train and develop more junior colleagues
Skills & Competencies Required:
Proven experience underwriting GL risks in the Lloyd’s or international insurance market.
Strong technical knowledge of GL related risk.
Understanding of market cycles, broker dynamics, and regulatory environment within Lloyd’s and global insurance markets.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 5 years of underwriting experience in General Liability Insurance.
ACII qualification (or working towards completion)
