We are looking for a Senior Underwriter Financial Lines & Cyber to join our Benelux team in Antwerp, Belgium.

The Impact You Will Have

Reporting to the Line Manager for the Benelux Financial Lines team, you will play a key role in driving profitable growth across Financial Lines and Cyber, with a particular focus on Professional Indemnity and Cyber. You will apply your underwriting expertise throughout the full risk lifecycle: from carrying out thorough financial analysis and risk assessment using global pricing tools, to negotiating competitive terms and conditions that protect portfolio quality while supporting ambitious financial targets. Your ownership of key accounts, combined with your ability to build trusted, long-term relationships with producers, clients and Market Management, will directly strengthen Allianz Commercial's market position in the Benelux. Beyond your individual portfolio, you will actively contribute to the regional underwriting strategy for Financial Lines and support cross-regional initiatives, making your impact felt locally and across the broader organisation.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

• Underwrite profitable new and renewal business to meet Financial Lines and Cyber top- and bottom-line plan targets, with a focus on Professional Indemnity and Cyber, in full compliance with underwriting guidelines and authority.
• Conduct thorough technical analysis and risk assessment, leveraging global pricing tools to build robust, well-documented underwriting files.
• Negotiate price, terms, and conditions to secure competitive and sustainable outcomes for the portfolio.
• Ensure accurate and timely policy documentation, maintaining high standards in file management and credit control processes.
• Take full ownership of key accounts and clients, proactively managing relationships to drive retention and growth.
• Develop and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with producers and clients in close partnership with Market Management.
• Actively participate in the development and execution of the regional underwriting strategy for Financial Lines.
• Contribute to cross-regional activities and initiatives as required, sharing expertise and supporting broader organisational goals.

What You'll Bring to the Role

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Economics, Law, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in Cyber and/or Financial Lines, Financial Institutions, and/or the Benelux insurance market.
• Proficiency in Dutch, French, and English, enabling effective communication with clients, brokers, and internal stakeholders across the region.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex data from multiple sources and translate insights into sound underwriting decisions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to express ideas clearly in writing and verbally, and to build convincing narratives for different audiences.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and confidence working with digital tools and platforms.
• An agile mindset, with a willingness to keep learning and adapt to evolving internal and external customer needs.
• A collaborative and results-oriented approach, with the drive to exceed targets while upholding underwriting excellence and compliance.
• A willingness to learn and explore how artificial intelligence (AI) can enhance your role and support the broader organisation, including data-driven decision-making and improved efficiency.

Important Information About This Opportunity:

As part of Allianz Commercial's strategic partnership with Coalition, one of the leading cyber insurance and security providers, this role is expected to become part of Coalition's operating model in the future. While the timing of any transition is still being finalized, candidates should be aware that employment may transfer from Allianz Commercial to Coalition at a later stage.

Should such a transition take place, the role will continue to focus on supporting cyber insurance business associated with Allianz Commercial's clients and distribution network. This creates a unique opportunity to gain exposure to the capabilities, technology, and expertise of two leading organizations in the cyber insurance market.

To ensure close collaboration between both organizations, representatives from Coalition may participate in the recruitment process.

Further Information

For Belgium, the base salary range for this position is between EUR 71,000 and EUR 95,000 (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:

• the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
• the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience.

The annualized amount represents a market range and will also be determined by the location of the role. In the situation where you do not meet all the job requirements or you significantly exceed these, the offered salary may be below or above the advertised range. In addition to your base salary, we offer an attractive performance-based variable component based on location specific regulations, and you may be eligible for additional benefits.
