
As a Senior UiPath RPA Developer Engineer within Northwell Health’s RPA Center of Excellence, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation solutions that streamline complex business processes. You will lead by example in applying UiPath's latest capabilities—including Studio, Orchestrator, Test Suite, Document Understanding, AI Center, Action Center, and Automation Cloud—to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient enterprise automations.
You will collaborate cross-functionally to align technical execution with strategic objectives and automation governance, while mentoring junior developers and ensuring adherence to development best practices. Your role will also include integrating RPA with external systems and contributing to Northwell’s digital transformation strategy through innovative automation practices.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end development of automation solutions using the full UiPath Platform (Studio, StudioX, Orchestrator, Test Suite, Automation Cloud).
• Analyze complex manual business processes and translate them into efficient, scalable RPA solutions.
• Leverage UiPath Document Understanding, AI Center, and Integration Service to deliver intelligent, cross-platform automations.
• Design and build reusable components, libraries, and frameworks that align with CoE standards and drive consistency across implementations.
• Integrate bots with external enterprise systems such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, Epic, databases, and web services using APIs and UiPath custom activities.
• Implement robust exception handling, auditing, logging, and error recovery frameworks within each automation.
• Maintain and enhance existing production bots, conduct health checks, and optimize performance based on telemetry data and business feedback.
• Collaborate with QA teams to design and execute automated test scenarios using UiPath Test Suite.
• Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to peers and offshore development teams.
• Maintain thorough documentation including Process Definition Documents (PDDs), Solution Design Documents (SDDs), and deployment plans.
• Support CI/CD pipeline integration and version control best practices using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, and Azure DevOps.
• Stay current with the latest UiPath product updates, roadmaps, and community best practices to continuously enhance the CoE’s capabilities.
Job Qualifications
Highly Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on RPA development experience using UiPath.
Demonstrated experience with UiPath Studio, Orchestrator, and Test Suite.
Proficiency in object-oriented programming (e.g., Python, VB.Net, C#, Java).
Proven experience working with REST APIs, webhooks, and system integrations.
Strong understanding of enterprise automation architecture and solution design.
Familiarity with healthcare systems and regulatory compliance is highly preferred.
Experience developing automations for Citrix/virtual environments.
Ability to create and maintain custom UiPath activities and libraries.
Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences
UiPath Certified Advanced RPA Developer or Solution Architect certification.
Experience with UiPath Automation Cloud, AI Center, Action Center, and Integration Service.
Familiarity with ITIL, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
Experience in mentoring junior developers and working in a distributed development environment.
Exposure to UiPath Automation Hub, Insights, and Process Mining.
