Job Description

 

We are looking for a sharp, experienced, driven engineer who wakes up every day eager to help build the best possible scaling production web/mobile/platform apps. This person will join our application development team and be responsible for architecting and implementing new features in our hybrid front-end application used by thousands of people every day. You’ll be a good fit if:

3. You can architect on the fly and quickly build fast, reliable, and scalable products 

4. You are proactive about solving problems and already thinking 100 steps ahead to make our product better 

5. You are at your best when you are in the zone, pounding out code Day to day responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

1. Work closely with product team to architect and develop new features for all three sides of our market (small/medium-sized businesses, job sources/aggregators, and customers) 

2. Spearhead migration of Meteor/Blaze hybrid (responsive) application to React 

3. Improve team velocity and reliability by introducing and enforcing better development processes and patterns 

Requirements: 

- Must be local and work in our Boston, MA office daily 

- 3+ years building high-scale modern web applications 

- Experience with TDD/BDD patterns in modern JavaScript development 

- Extensive experience with React and componentized, decoupled front-end development 

- Experience/exposure to Meteor.js is a plus but by no means a requirement 

- Comfortable in a fast pace, high pressure, start-up culture that expects great things every day
