Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Triage Engineer to support propulsion system diagnostics, in-plant execution, and production readiness across internal combustion, hybrid, and battery electric vehicle platforms.
This role plays a critical part in identifying, analyzing, and resolving complex vehicle issues during development, launch, and production phases.
You will operate in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment, leveraging advanced diagnostic tools, engineering expertise, and data analysis to improve system performance and ensure manufacturing readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead End-of-Line (EOL) testing, ECU flashing, and in-plant readiness activities
- Perform and guide first-level analysis (FLA) using diagnostic logs, DTCs, and customer symptom data
- Analyze data using INCA, CANalyzer, CANoe, and MDA to identify root causes
- Support calibration development, validation, and troubleshooting across vehicle and dyno environments
- Provide technical leadership during issue investigations, validation failures, and launch activities
- Mentor engineers in diagnostics, troubleshooting techniques, and tool utilization
- Collaborate with propulsion engineering, manufacturing, quality, and service teams to resolve issues
- Support ECU flash processes and ensure system and data integrity
- Drive continuous improvement of diagnostic processes, test procedures, and workflows
- Prepare and present technical reports and status updates to leadership
- Support plant operations and launch activities, including travel as needed
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in propulsion systems, diagnostics, validation, or manufacturing support
- Strong experience with CANalyzer, CANoe, and ETAS INCA
- Knowledge of ICE, hybrid, and battery electric vehicle (BEV) systems
- Experience with EOL testing, ECU flashing, and vehicle diagnostics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to provide technical guidance or mentorship
- Effective communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Engineering or related field
- Experience supporting vehicle launches, in-plant engineering, or field issue resolution
- Familiarity with MATLAB, Simulink, HIL, or virtual validation tools
- Understanding of CAN communication, OBD systems, and embedded controls
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools
- Knowledge of high-voltage systems and safety practices
