Vivalon is seeking an experienced Senior Transportation Supervisor to lead our driver workforce in San Francisco. This role serves as the first line of management for a team of drivers and attendants, ensuring high performance, safety, compliance, and a positive employee experience.

You’ll play a key role in coaching, mentoring, and supporting frontline team members while helping maintain operational excellence in transportation services.

This role requires a Commercial Driver's License!

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics (e.g., on-time performance, timesheets, SamSara data) and provide coaching and feedback
  • Supervise, mentor, and support drivers and attendants to ensure high-quality service and compliance
  • Conduct performance evaluations and deliver ongoing coaching, including corrective actions when necessary (in partnership with HR and Operations)
  • Participate in recruitment efforts, including interviewing and hiring decisions
  • Foster employee engagement through recognition programs and appreciation initiatives
  • Conduct ride-alongs and “followings” to assess performance and provide real-time feedback
  • Serve as Supervisor on Duty as needed, responding to employee concerns, safety incidents, and operational issues
  • Support training programs, including onboarding, remedial training, and CDL development
  • Respond to field incidents (accidents, safety concerns) and conduct audits
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects
  • Assist as a backup driver or attendant when necessary

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership and supervisory experience
  • Experience in transportation operations (preferably with driver oversight)
  • Knowledge of ADA regulations and passenger transport safety standards
  • Familiarity with state and federal safety regulations
  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), or willingness to obtain one
  • Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of Vivalon service areas and contracts is a plus

  • Salary: $70,000–$80,000 annually (DOE)
