We’re looking for a Senior Transportation Project Manager to join our Idaho transportation team and take a leadership role in delivering projects that make a lasting difference in the communities we serve.

As a Senior Transportation Project Manager, you’ll lead multidisciplinary teams on transportation projects throughout Idaho, working with state and local agencies to move projects from planning and design through construction. You’ll have the opportunity to shape project strategy, mentor talented engineers and designers, strengthen existing client relationships, and help identify what comes next.

What are the core responsibilities for the role?

• Lead transportation projects from initial scoping and planning through design and construction.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and overall delivery.
• Serve as a trusted point of contact for transportation clients throughout Idaho.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including roadway, traffic, structures, drainage, utilities, environmental, surveying, and construction professionals.
• Develop project approaches, scopes of work, fee estimates, schedules, and staffing plans.
• Lead and contribute to proposals, interviews, and other business development efforts.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with public agency clients, teaming partners, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Identify upcoming transportation opportunities and help develop strategies to successfully pursue them.
• Provide technical oversight and quality assurance while empowering project teams to take ownership of their work.
• Mentor project managers, engineers, and emerging leaders.
• Work closely with Idaho transportation leadership to help establish strategic priorities and grow the practice.

Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies

• A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
• 10+ years of progressive engineering experience
• Experience delivering transportation infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary transportation projects, including budgets, schedules, scopes, and project teams.
• Strong understanding of roadway and transportation design and project delivery.
• Experience working with ITD and/or Idaho local agencies is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to develop productive, long-term client relationships.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to lead teams, mentor others, resolve challenges, and make sound project decisions.
• An interest in business development and helping grow a successful transportation practice.
