Job Description

You care about creating a seamless experience connecting with communities and teams, no matter where you are in NSW.

Here's your chance to design and deliver efficient, customer-focused services that also enhance accessibility, sustainability and overall quality of living for more people than you've imagined.

In this role, you'll:

Join the Transport Planning branch as a Senior Transport Planner to help develop important transport planning technical guidance, frameworks and tools such as the Guide to Transport Impact Assessment, Design of Roads and Streets and Transport Access Indicators. Play a central role in network planning projects that define the future of the transport system and create better outcomes for customers and communities in NSW.

In this role, you will help shape the future of transport planning in NSW by contributing to the development of industry leading technical guidance, strategic frameworks and planning tools. You will work within the Technical Guidance and Frameworks team to strengthen transport planning practice across the state, applying strong technical capability to complex problems and producing high‑quality evidence-based advice.

You will support updates to existing guidance and the creation of new guidelines, working closely with subject matter experts. You will help design strategic frameworks that define outcomes and guide how transport projects and business cases are delivered. You will contribute to technical innovation through new tools and products to support practitioners across the transport planning industry. You will lead and influence innovative, data-driven planning outcomes that improve integration between transport and land use in a complex, fast-paced environment balancing competing priorities, evolving policy direction and diverse stakeholder needs.
