How will your ideas contribute to shaping what’s next?
As our new Transmission Lines Engineer, you’ll join our NSW & ACT Energy team, based in Sydney, that’s shaping the future of Australia’s renewable energy grid. From solar and wind farms to BESS, pumped hydro, and major transmission infrastructure, you’ll be at the forefront of designing and delivering projects that matter – from everyday business-as-usual through to complex Design & Construct (D&C) programs.

You’ll be part of the engine room – experienced enough to lead designs and mentor our early-career talent, while still growing your own expertise through major greenfield projects (up to 500kV), brownfield sustaining capital work, and even contributing to innovation in tower prototyping, testing, and commissioning.

Your role will include:

• Leading and delivering designs across HV transmission line projects (33kV all the way through to 500kV).
• Supporting bids and tenders across a spectrum of contracting models – from direct utility maintenance packages to complex D&C of Renewable Energy Zones.
• Applying your knowledge of Australian Standards (AS/NZS 1170.2, AS/NZS 7000, AS 4100), PLS software suite (PLS-CADD, TOWER & POLE), and HV design.
• Collaborating with state utilities, contractors, joint ventures, and alliances to deliver projects that accelerate Australia’s renewable energy future.
• Mentoring early-career engineers and contributing to the strength of the team.

What are we looking for from you?
You’ll have a genuine passion for building the future of Australia’s energy grid. We value the unique skills each person brings, and we’re looking for someone with:

• A degree in Civil/Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• 4+ years’ experience in transmission line engineering, with hands-on design delivery.
• Proficiency with PLS-CADD (and ideally PLS-POLE and PLS-TOWER).
• Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work across diverse teams and clients.
