We are seeking a highly skilled
Senior Transmission Design Engineer
responsible for design, analysis, and development of transmission systems for next-generation EV.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Develop concepts for geartrain related components to minimize part count, cost, and complexity in the drive unit
  .

• 
  Design and analysis of geartrain components including rotating shafts, gears, differentials, torque split devices, spline, spring, botl,...

• 
  Design, coordinate, and execute system level and component level tests for performance, durability, reliability, and variability
  .

• 
  Tolerance calculation for components and subsystem

• 
  Risk assessment, root cause analysis and problem resolution for failures of geartrain components in validation tests

• 
  Provide technical guidance to cross functional teams (manufacturing, production, quality, supply chain and service) through the entire development and life cycle of drive unit products

• 
  Work with Suppliers to drive process improvements and product excellence for high volume contract manufacturing

• 
  Work with other design and Test Engineering to develop and bring innovative technologies to mass production

• 
  2D and 3D modeling utilizing CAD software

• 
  Build DVP, DFMEA for important components

• 
  Control of BOM, CAD model and Engineering drawings

• 
  Sourcing, working with supplier to make the prototype & mass production parts

• 
  Build measurement guide for transmission component.

• 
  Support to solve issue form production line

• 
  ​
  Build transmission assembly guide and asembly samples for development phase

Requirements

• 
  Master’s or PhD in
  Mechanical Engineering
  , specializing in
  Transmission Systems
  , OR
  10+ years of experience
  in transmission design and development.
• 
  Strong background in design methodologies for transmission
  systems
• 
  Components include: gear, shaft, bearing,
  differential, belt, chain, housing for EVs.
• 
  Design include: safety factor, efficiency,
  losses, lubrication, thermal, NVH.
• 
  Transmission systems: parallel gearbox, planetary,
  multi-speed, DCU.
• 
  Manufacturing processes: hobbing, grinding,
  honing, chamfering, deburring, broaching
• 
  Advanced Metallurgy, heat treatments, recycling,
  inspection
• 
  Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for
  Assembly (DFA), and failure mode analysis
• 
  Proficiency in transmission design software such
  as KISSSoft, Masta, PreonLab and 3D/2D softwares: Catia is preffer, Solidworks,
  AutoCAD
• 
  Design transmission system: Gear, bearing, shaft, DCU,
  housing, seal, etc. from feasibility to SOP.
• 
  Train & develop team
