Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Transfer Agency Officer to join our Investment Operations team in Kuala Lumpur. This role is part of a broader team of 20 professionals supporting Transfer Agency operations across dealing, registration, cash, corporate actions and client servicing.

This position operates on Malaysia business hours and offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative, growing function that plays a critical role in delivering high-quality services to our clients and their underlying investors.

As a Senior Transfer Agency Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth execution of daily operational activities within your designated functional area, ensuring accuracy, compliance and excellent service delivery. This is a senior individual contributor role suited to an experienced operations professional who can work independently, provide mentoring and support to junior team members, undertake peer review activities and act as a point of escalation for more complex operational matters. While the role has no direct people management responsibilities, you will be expected to lead by example and contribute to developing team capability and operational best practice. You will work closely with Operations Executives, Team Leads and Managers to maintain operational excellence while contributing to change initiatives, risk management and continuous improvement programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the daily running of Transfer Agency operations and associated processes.

  • Ensure the smooth execution of day-to-day operational activities within the team.

  • Deliver services to clients in line with internal and external service standards, KPIs and regulatory requirements.

  • Support the preparation and completion of client reporting, ensuring submissions are accurate and delivered on time.

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, clients and operational teams to resolve queries and support business requirements.

  • Assist with system enhancements, user acceptance testing (UAT) and quality control activities.

  • Support the implementation of operational improvements and technology solutions that enhance scalability, efficiency and service delivery.

  • Assist with the management of operational risk, including error identification, escalation, investigation and reporting.

  • Contribute to KPI and KRI monitoring and help identify opportunities to strengthen controls and performance.

  • Support audit activities, client visits and regulatory reviews as required.

  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of operational controls to reduce errors and mitigate risk.

  • Ensure compliance with FNZ policies, procedures and regulatory obligations.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in transfer agency, investment operations, fund administration or financial services operations.

  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.

  • Understanding of transfer agency processes, including investor servicing, registrations, cash processing, dealing or related operations.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.

  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive stakeholder relationships.

  • Exposure to risk management, controls or regulatory requirements within financial services is advantageous.

  • Experience supporting process improvement initiatives or system enhancements would be beneficial.

What's in it for you?

  • Be part of a highly successful, rapidly growing global business.

  • Join a supportive and collaborative team of 20 professionals.

  • Gain exposure across a broad range of transfer agency and investment operations activities.

  • Work in an environment that values continuous improvement, development and career growth.

  • Remuneration and career progression based on contribution and impact rather than tenure.
