Job Purpose or Objective(s): You will provide full cycle management of internal and external business opportunities that require large capital investments. This includes the development, analysis, due diligence, business planning, capital funding of the opportunity, and final integration into the Choctaw Nation. You will report to the Senior Director of Business Development.
Primary Tasks:
You will prepare pro forma financial models and related pro forma financial analyses to help the department and partner evaluate acquisition or business expansion opportunities and decisions regarding capital investments where the transactions often exceed $100 million.
Manage over $500 million of high priority business opportunities simultaneously but can shift focus as directed by leadership.
Participate in partner meetings and site visits while working with top-level management, C-level executives, and investors to obtain relevant information for financial analysis.
Identify and convey important deal issues, main plans, and risks associated with the opportunity (sell side), which could potentially improve purchase price or deal structure to senior management.
Advise and provide insight regarding anticipated partner needs (buy side), stimulate discussion, and develop potential solutions.
You will identify main post closure matters to be addressed to minimize execution and integration risk.
Help develop business purchase price or business expansion investment and participate in negotiations with sellers.
Prepare formal business plan which includes financial model, due diligence evaluation and findings, risk assessment, and operational/integration plan which is developed with business leads.
Provide recommendations regarding any due diligence for a potential acquisition or divestiture opportunity as requested by the department. This will include opportunities assigned directly to this position as well opportunities being led by other staff within the department.
Collaborate and build advisory relationships with all department staff and leadership by mentoring growth in others, imparting business knowledge and offering suggestions.
Perform other tasks as may be assigned.
Requirements:
· CPA or Master's of Business Administration in related field such as management science, finance, accounting, business, economics or quantitative field or 6 years of directly related experience in lieu of education.
· Experience building financial models and deep financial analysis using Excel (can perform complex functions), including IRR, DCF, Sensitivity Analysis, Terminal Values, and other financial measurement criteria
· Proficiency with main software programs with advanced decision support analytic tools
· Ensure confidentiality of all business development opportunities, documentation, and information
· 15 years experience in Sr. Business Development, Transaction Advisor, Sr. Accounting, or Sr. Financial roles, such as Controller or Sr. Analyst
