Reporting to the Senior Training/Education Manager, the successful incumbent will execute an effective strategy for Health Care Professionals (HCP) and Internal Training & Education (T&E) within the Cardiac Ablation Solutions (CAS) Operational Unit (OU). The focus will be on promoting the Medtronic (MDT) brand and therapies, with a particular emphasis on AFFERA™ and PulseSelect™ products. Key responsibilities include:
• Ensuring the safe and effective utilization of Medtronic CAS technologies by HCPs through external education initiatives.
• Delivering comprehensive internal education programs for employees, including Technical Consultants (TC).
•Providing expert-level technical support to new centers during the launch of AFFERA™ and PulseSelect™ technologies. This includes direct case support and certifying new mappers to ensure successful adoption.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Plan, coordinate, and deliver local and regional educational programs in Asia RLM region with focus in AFFERA™ and PulseSelect™ trainings consistent with Corporate and CAS Operational Units (OU) needs and strategy.
Support hands-on AFFERA™ simulator trainings at the international level in Medtronic Innovation Center (MIC) in Korea and in training centers across Asia RLM region organized both for HCPs and internal staff.
Assist in establishing training processes and in the developing training materials for Customers – physicians end-users of Medtronic products, for hospitals EP-nurses and Technicians and for internal trainings.
Support CAS OUs across Asia RLM region in training needs assessment based on actual knowledge and feedback from field and customers, suggest ways that training can help meet established sales and marketing objectives, and provide guidance on the delivery of local educational programs.
Partner with and provide subject matter expertise on Medtronic CAS products, therapies, and procedures to junior colleagues in T&E team and for other teams (commercial, TC, marketing).
Ensure trainings are performance/competency based
Manage courses reviews and provide feedback to the owners of the content of programs
Participate in updates of the training curricula in CAS business as far as new products are launched
Provide proficient clinical and technical assistance to physicians and EP Lab Staff on the use of the AFFERA™ Mapping and Ablation System and related equipment (Generators, SW functionalities, pump and accessories) during cases support.
Maintain excellent level of technical expertise as AFFERA™ mapper / super-mapper and take responsibility over training, onsite support of new mappers across the region and nes mappers certification across Asia RLM region
Provide technical and T&E support in opening of new AFFERA™ centers across the region
As part of a Training Academy team, it builds strong and lasting relationships with CAS OUs commercial and downstream marketing teams across Asia RLM region
Build and maintain a close cooperation with regional proctors and faculty for MDT T&E programs.
Work in close cooperation with the T&E teams across EurAsia region
Ensure maintaining training database end-users’ education in Asia RLM region
Reports all account, market, and competitive information (e.g., market share trends, competitive programs, and relationship issues) in a comprehensive and timely fashion.
Participate in International T&E programs in EurAsia according to assigned area of therapy leadership.
Develop adapted local education programs together with the local OUs according to local needs.
Reports immediately and accurately all negative Medtronic customer or product related events (e.g., customer feedback, product and legal issues and risks, etc.) Attends all required regional, national, and international meetings.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Medical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline and/or a Master’s Degree or a Medical Doctor Degree (Certification either in arrhythmology, cardiology, endovascular surgery, cardiovascular surgery is a strong advantage, IBHRE certification as a AHP is a plus as well)
Minimum 5 years of clinical Electrophysiology (EP) experience
At least 3 years of successful independent support of EP mapping procedures.
Strong knowledge of Cardiac Electrophysiology at Allied Health Professional (AHP) level.
Proven experience delivering presentations and training sessions to clinical audiences.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, including the ability to present confidently in English.
Demonstrated project management and/or Training & Education (T&E) experience.
Strong organizational, planning, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse groups and work within multinational teams.
Proven ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic medical device or clinical environment.
Experience in the medical device industry, particularly in technical consulting or sales representative roles.
Experience in curriculum development, e-learning, instructional design, or advanced clinical education.
Knowledge of competitor technologies and high-fidelity simulation training methodologies.
