Based in an international IP law firm, this senior role focuses on full-range cross-border trademark legal services for global and domestic clients. The lawyer will independently handle complex trademark prosecution and brand enforcement matters, serve as the key legal contact for client accounts, coordinate with overseas offices, control case quality, and guide junior team members.
1. Trademark Protection, Disputes & Enforcement in China
Take charge of all contentious trademark matters, including rejection reviews, oppositions, invalidations, cancellations, administrative enforcement and civil litigation. Handle anti-counterfeiting, trademark squatting crackdown and cross-jurisdictional brand protection projects. Draft various legal pleadings, cease-and-desist letters and settlement agreements, formulate dispute strategies and represent clients in relevant proceedings to protect clients’ legitimate brand interests.
2. Client Consulting & Account Management
Act as primary legal advisor for domestic and foreign clients, providing tailored advice on global trademark layout, risk prevention, trademark licensing, assignment and commercialization compliance. Respond to daily client inquiries efficiently, deliver customized IP protection solutions, and support client negotiation and project cooperation. Maintain stable client relationships and drive business renewal and incremental growth.
3. Team Guidance & Firm Operation Support
Supervise and train junior lawyers and paralegals, review case documents, and standardize firm case-handling procedures. Assist in formulating practice SOPs, sorting typical cross-border trademark precedents, and compiling professional legal materials. Support business development activities including bidding and industry exchanges to enhance the firm’s professional influence.
4. Legal Research & Practice Upgrading
1. Education & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or above in Law or Intellectual Property. Possess a valid Chinese Lawyer License or Trademark Attorney Certificate; international IP qualifications are preferred.
2. Professional Experience
Minimum 5 years of working experience in a professional IP or international law firm, with independent experience in handling cross-border trademark cases. Familiar with law firm service workflows, with solid case-handling capabilities and client service awareness. Experience serving foreign clients and abundant overseas agent resources are highly preferred.
3. Professional Competencies
Well-versed in Chinese trademark laws and long-term litigation experiences. Capable of independently handling complex office actions, cross-border disputes, litigation and settlement negotiations, with solid legal writing, analytical and risk-judgment skills.
4. Language Skill
Fluent in written and spoken English, capable of independently drafting and reviewing English legal documents, and conducting barrier-free professional communication and negotiation with foreign clients.
5. Personal Traits
Possess rigorous legal logic, strong independent case-handling ability and client-oriented awareness. Capable of managing cases under tight deadlines with high quality. Equipped with good communication, coordination and pressure resistance, as well as team guidance awareness and professional dedication.
