Job Description

Job Purpose and Impact

The Senior Trade Product Control Analyst will be responsible for optimisation and execution of complex financial risk management activities in commodity, foreign exchange risks and trading profit and loss for the defined businesses and areas. In this role, you will partner with Trade Product Control organization team members & other key stakeholders to deliver key controls, compliance, data and reports timely and accurately. You will contribute to standardization and optimization of processes and new solutions to enhance automation and implement transformation.

Key Accountabilities

  • Complete complex commodity and commodity derivatives position reporting and reconciliation activities in collaboration with key stakeholders, and ensure any significant differences are resolved and communicated appropriately.
  • Monitor commodity and foreign exchange exposure and complete all financial reporting within deadlines and compare against limits, escalate breaches of limits and get resolution of breach in collaboration with business stakeholders.
  • Manage reports and reconcile trading profit and loss including forex gain/loss by line of impact with key stakeholders.
  • Support compliance operations and monitor points of control.
  • Collaborate with peers to implement process simplification and enhance process standardization, optimize reporting, and deliver automation and transformation processes.
  • Makes sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.
  • Builds partnerships and works collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
  • Holds self and others accountable to meet commitments.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Experienced in leveraging financial and business systems to monitor business activities and aid in decision making
  • Experience in finance operations with a knowledge of financial risk management and related financial processes
  • Ability to design and prepare various data and analytics reports
  • Minimum of Eight years of related work experience
  • Other minimum qualifications may apply

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Master's degree
  • Eight years of financial / business analysis experience
  • Strong knowledge of risk management and enterprise resource planning applications
  • Previous commodity trading experience
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL Query
