As a Senior Traction Control Engineer within our Rolling Stock team, you will be a key contributor to the development of next-generation traction systems. You will define, develop, and validate the control strategies that drive our trains safely, efficiently, and reliably.

You’ll make a difference by

  • Leading the development of traction control functions, ensuring optimal performance, energy efficiency, and passenger comfort.
  • Shaping robust traction control architectures by translating system requirements and collaborating with cross-functional experts.
  • Driving the complete development lifecycle, from requirements and design through to testing and commissioning.
  • Validating and optimizing system performance, analyzing electrical machines and converter operation to meet international standards.
  • Developing advanced simulation models to validate control strategies and support troubleshooting.
  • Collaborating seamlessly across disciplines, including propulsion, TCMS, and vehicle control, to ensure perfect system integration.
Your success is grounded in

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Control Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Solid professional experience in traction control, rail propulsion systems, or power electronics.
  • A deep understanding of traction converters, electrical machines, drive control systems, and vehicle dynamics.
  • Proven ability to translate complex system requirements into effective control strategies and software specs.
  • Strong analytical skills and a structured engineering mindset to solve complex challenges.
  • Fluency in English (C1) and the ability to thrive in international, multidisciplinary teams.
You’ll thrive even more if you also bring

Experience with railway functional safety standards (EN 50657, EN 50128, EN 50129).
Knowledge of model-based development (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink) and TCMS interfaces.
