• Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $128,052 to $142,649 + super

We are seeking a person on who is passionate about caring for Country and protecting biodiversity to join our Ecosystems and Threatened Species Branch.

In this role, you will lead and deliver conservation and restoration projects that support threatened species and ecological communities across NSW. Working in partnership with Traditional Owners, Aboriginal communities, landholders and other stakeholders, you will help deliver positive outcomes for Country through landscape-scale conservation initiatives.

This is an opportunity to bring your knowledge, experience and perspective to meaningful environmental work, while building strong relationships and contributing to the protection and restoration of important habitats and species.

About You

• Has experience delivering conservation, restoration, natural resource management or related projects.
• Builds strong relationships and works effectively with Aboriginal communities, Traditional Owners, landholders, government agencies and other stakeholders.
• Brings knowledge and understanding of biodiversity conservation, ecological restoration, land management or related fields.
• Has strong communication, project management and problem-solving skills.
• Is passionate about caring for Country and making a positive contribution to the environment and communities across NSW.
• Values collaboration, respect and working together to achieve shared outcomes.

Essential Requirements

• A science or natural resource management degree or a degree in a relevant discipline.
• A valid Australian driver’s licence with four-wheel drive experience and training preferable.
• Capacity and willingness to undertake regular and/or overnight travel as required.
