Job Summary

Job Description: Murex Lead QA – Testing & Automation

Lead the end-to-end testing strategy and execution for Murex applications, ensuring high-quality delivery across modules (FO, MO, BO, Risk, Operations). The role requires strong expertise in functional testing, along with exposure to test automation frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement test strategy for Murex programs
• Lead testing across Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office modules
• Design and execute test cases, test scenarios, and plans
• Validate trade lifecycle, pricing, settlements, and reporting flows
• Drive SIT, UAT, regression testing, and defect management
• Collaborate with Business, Dev, and Integration teams
• Ensure test coverage across upstream/downstream integrations
• Manage defect lifecycle using tools like JIRA
• Provide L3 support and quality assurance for releases

Skill Requirements

Murex Testing Expertise

• Strong experience in Murex MX.3 modules (FO, MO, BO)
• Expertise in functional testing of trade lifecycle workflows
• Exposure to workflows, simulation views, and reporting
• Experience in integration and end-to-end testing

Testing & Automation Skills

• Hands-on experience in manual testing methodologies
• Experience with test automation tools (Selenium / UFT / similar)
• Ability to build and maintain automation frameworks
• Knowledge of API testing (REST/SOAP)

Technical Skills

• Good understanding of SQL / database validation
• Experience working in Unix/Linux environments
• Knowledge of ETL/data validation is desirable

Domain Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of Capital Markets & Treasury products (FX, Rates, Derivatives)
• Knowledge of trade lifecycle (front-to-back processing)
• Exposure to regulatory reporting validation (EMIR, SFTR, etc.)

Leadership & Soft Skills

• Ability to lead QA teams and manage test delivery
• Strong stakeholder communication (Business, Dev, Ops)
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail
• Experience working in Agile/Waterfall delivery models

Other Requirements

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in large-scale Murex implementation / upgrade programs
• Exposure to CI/CD and DevOps-based testing approaches
• Experience with automation of regression suites
• Murex certification (good to have)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/master’s degree in engineering, Finance, or related field
• Murex certifications (preferred)
• Proven experience in tier-1 global banking environment

• 8–12 years total QA experience
