This role will be responsible for the Product Quality of specific SW Products by creating test strategies, test cases, and executing tests. The individual will seek to continuously improve quality assurance by exploring new technologies, using modern test tools to improve test efficiency and effectiveness, and increasing test automation coverage.

In addition to the regular testing responsibilities, the individual is expected to be self-driven and proactive in identifying and driving testing and automation initiatives. The role will provide technical guidance to the testing team, support the adoption of improved testing practices and tools, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the overall testing approach and capabilities.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities (Tasks & Deliverables)

  • Lead the planning and execution of testing activities across multiple projects.
  • Define testing strategies, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Mentor junior testers and provide technical guidance and support.
  • Establish and maintain automated testing frameworks and tools.
  • Analyze test results and provide insights to improve software quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Continuously evaluate and adopt new testing technologies and approaches.
  • Identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency, effectiveness, and automation coverage, and proactively drive the implementation of these improvements.
  • Own and drive selected testing and automation initiatives, coordinating with relevant team members and stakeholders to ensure successful implementation.
  • Act as a technical point of contact within the testing team, supporting team members with test automation, tools, frameworks, troubleshooting, and best practices.
  • Contribute to defining and improving the team's technical testing approach, standards, and reusable solutions.
  • Share technical knowledge and best practices with the testing team and support the adoption of new tools, technologies, and automation approaches.
  • Take ownership of continuous improvement activities beyond day-to-day testing responsibilities and actively contribute to building a stronger and more efficient testing capability.
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • More than 7+ years of extensive experience in software testing with expertise in manual and automated testing.
  • Proficiency in testing frameworks such as JUnit or Gherkin and tools like Postman and Azure DevOps.
  • JavaScript and SQL basics for Postman tests and querying data are a plus.
  • Experience in manual and automated UI testing, preferably with Playwright.
  • Strong understanding of service-oriented software development in a .NET and cloud-based technology stack.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, combined with the ability to derive meaningful test cases from requirements, issues, and defects.
  • Experience in bug analysis and root-cause investigation.
  • Self-driven and proactive mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for improving testing and automation.
  • Ability to independently drive testing or test automation initiatives from idea/concept through implementation and adoption.
  • Ability to provide technical guidance and support to other testers and contribute to the technical direction of the testing team.
