We are excited to announce the fixed-term position of Senior Test Engineer within Product Engineering.

Reporting to the Digital Test Manager, this role has key accountability for testing solutions that meet quality and reliability standards, supporting the consistent delivery of high-quality digital outcomes across the organisation.

This fixed-term role will have you placed in the People & Culture Delivery Team, where experience across HCM platforms (Workday) and enterprise systems will be highly valuable. You will need to be comfortable working in an Agile environment and delivering to deadlines.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing across all QA activities, working independently from initiation through to delivery.
  • Establishing and following QA Best Practices.
  • Performing Quality Assurance on all Applications/Solutions developed and maintained by the Delivery Team.
  • Engaging across all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle to ensure deliverables are fit for purpose and meet business requirements
  • Supporting and validating integrations between enterprise platforms, including Workday and other HR/payroll systems

This position is a full-time (37.5 hours/week) 12-month fixed-term opportunity, with a salary range of $105,701 - $121,900 depending on skills and experience.

This role will be based at our modern offices at the Newmarket Campus, with some work across the City Campus as required. Flexible working is supported depending on business needs.

You are passionate about delivering high-quality software in complex environments. Experience with HCM systems such as Workday, payroll platforms, and testing integrations is highly valued.

You bring strong Non-Functional and Functional testing experience across enterprise systems, including integration testing with Workday or similar applications.

Comfortable working in large organisations, you adapt quickly and work well in agile teams. A proactive mindset and commitment to continuous learning will support your success.

You will also have:

  • Ability to quickly learn new domains, tools, and processes
  • Experience in test strategy, planning, and test case design
  • Experience testing enterprise applications
  • API and backend testing experience
  • Experience testing integration platforms, particularly HCM/payroll
  • Understanding of test automation

As part of Digital Services, the QA Testing team sits within the Product Engineering Department at our Newmarket Campus. We are committed to delivering high-quality digital outcomes in an Agile IT environment.
