Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to the SCC V&V Leader and work alongside passionate, motivated, and dedicated teammates.

You'll be a part of the AMECA SCC team, where the SCC system comprises three subsystems: ATS (Automatic Train Supervision), SCADA, and the security system. You'll play a key role in verification and validation (V&V) activities related to the SCC subsystem. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business and collaborate with colleagues from all over the world, ensuring the highest standards of quality and performance.

You’ll specifically take care of test specification and report writing, as well as test bench environment configuration, but also support defect management and contribute to factory acceptance testing (FAT) and testing & commissioning (T&C) activities.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Executing SCC V&V activities from the SSRS perspective

  • Writing and reviewing test specifications and reports

  • Configuring test bench environments

  • Managing defects through change requests

  • Analyzing detected defects and suggesting corrective solutions

  • Executing automatic and manual tests using simulators and analyzing results

  • Providing progress reports

  • Performing FAT activities

  • Supporting T&C activities

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • A degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Control and Automation Engineering

  • Fundamental knowledge of programming, including Python and SQL

  • Experience with both Linux and Windows operating systems

  • Fluency in the English language

  • Strong analytical capabilities to identify defects and propose corrective solutions

  • Excellent teamwork skills and transparent communication

  • A curious mindset and eagerness to learn

  • 2–5 years of relevant experience

Things you’ll enjoy Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines

  • Work with new security standards for rail signalling

  • Collaborate with transverse teams and supportive colleagues

  • Contribute to innovative projects

  • Utilise our agile working environment

  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries

  • Benefit from our investment in your development through award-winning learning

  • Progress towards leadership or technical expert roles

  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical)

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
