Senior Test Development Engineer

Job Description

As a Test Development Engineer, you will develop new testing methods to help

transform engineering concepts into practical, testable solutions within the Functional Development and Test & Verification (T&V) laboratories. Additionally, you will

collaborate with cross-functional teams across Function

Development to conduct testing on Philips Oral Healthcare devices and equipment as well as

work together with ODM suppliers for verification and production activities.

Your role:

• With business acumen, analysis system requirements and develop test methods and equipment to ensure product development activities accomplished smoothly
• Establish measurement methodologies and characterization approaches for new technologies and product functions.
• Design and develop custom test systems, fixtures, instrumentation, and laboratory capabilities.
• Select, integrate, and apply appropriate sensing technologies, including pressure, force, torque, flow, displacement, vibration, acoustics, optical, and environmental sensors.
• Develop data acquisition systems and measurement workflows to support product characterization and verification.
• Perform test method validation, Measurement System Analysis (MSA), and capability assessments.
• Define measurement uncertainty and ensure repeatability, reproducibility, and robustness of developed test methods.
• Analyze experimental data and develop engineering models that relate measurable parameters to product performance and consumer benefits.

You're the right fit if:

• You have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Electric, Mechanical

Engineering OR equivalent combination of education and above listed experience

• You’ve acquired 10+ years of experience and/or familiarity with test development.

You possess strong problem-solving skills and have working knowledge utilizing

problem-solving tools.

• A proven track record in working with cross-functional development teams to

ensure timely and effective deployment of test solutions is a must

• Experience related to the development of and testing of medical (FDA regulated)

products is a plus (ISO13485, 21CFR820).

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 4 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
