Senior Test Automation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Automation Engineer with strong experience in end‑to‑end testing, automation, and integration of complex software systems. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across global, cross‑functional teams to ensure high‑quality product delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Test Automation & Framework Development

• Design, develop, and maintain UI and API automation using Java or C# frameworks.
• Create and enhance BDD tests using Gherkin and frameworks like Cucumber
• Write clean, reusable, maintainable automation code with best practices for naming, structure, and test data management.
• Continuously improve automation frameworks and pipelines to increase stability and coverage.
• Develop and maintain automated tests validating integration points across systems/modules

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Own the end-to-end testing lifecycle including test planning, test case creation, execution, and reporting.
• Perform functional and non-functional testing, including system integration, performance, and regression tests.
• Proactively identify, analyse, and investigate defects; collaborate with developers, architects, and QA to resolve issues.
• Ensure high-quality delivery by driving defect root-cause analysis and quality improvements.

Engineering Collaboration & Agile Delivery

• Represent the testing mindset within the development team; act as the test conscience and quality advocate.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Architects, Developers, and Scrum Masters to understand requirements and deliverables.
• Work effectively in Agile/Scrum or SAFe environments with multiple stakeholders and evolving priorities.
• Participate in ongoing integration and system validation initiatives

Tools, Technologies & CI/CD

• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • API Testing Postman, SoapUI
  • UI Automation Playwright or Cypress
  • BDD Cucumber, Gherkin
  • CI/CD Jenkins, Bamboo, Flux or similar
  • Version Control Git (Bitbucket)
  • Test Management Jira, Quality Center (QC)
• Experience with cloud ecosystems ( Azure/AWS) and containerized environments ( Docker).
• Advantage: knowledge of Kafka, Gatling, or distributed systems.

Required Skills & Competencies

• 8+ years of experience in test automation and system integration.
• Strong understanding of software testing principles, test design techniques, and automation strategy.
• Ability to independently evaluate requirements, design test cases, and deliver high-quality automation scripts.
• Excellent communication skills—verbal, written, and the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Proactive, self-driven, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
• Ability to mentor juniors and support onboarding of new team members.
• Willingness to travel internationally for project needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• BE/MCA (or higher) with proven experience in similar roles.
• ISTQB certification (advantage).
• Domain knowledge in logistics or warehousing (advantage).
