We Go Beyond for A Safer World

Te Tūranga - The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Testing Analyst to play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our SaaS-based service enablement platform. This platform integrates multiple systems to streamline business and customer workflows, and product quality is critical to its success.

This is a hands-on role where you will design and execute comprehensive testing strategies - both automated and manual - with a strong focus on SaaS workflows, APIs, and cloud-native integrations. You will work closely with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery.

While your primary focus will be testing and quality assurance, you will also contribute to process improvements, user documentation, and operational readiness.

This is more than just a testing role: you will take ownership of solutions by understanding requirements end-to-end, ensuring products are robust and reliable, and championing a culture of quality across the team. You will thrive in an environment of high ambiguity, helping the team move forward productively while continually improving how we test and deliver.

In this role, you will:

  • Design, develop, and document comprehensive test plans and test cases for SaaS workflows, integrations, and APIs.
  • Perform functional, regression, and performance testing to identify limitations, errors, and risks across cloud-based products.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and track faults, working with developers on resolutions.
  • Participate throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring quality is built in from the start.
  • Write and maintain user documentation and operational procedures where required.
  • Test the integrity and performance of new products in networked environments.
  • Recommend, devise, and implement fixes and improvements.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to deliver reliable business outcomes.
  • Champion quality and continuous improvement across products, processes, and practices.

Ō pūkenga - About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification and/or significant experience in software testing or quality assurance.
  • Proven experience designing and executing test plans for SaaS applications, integrations, and APIs. Solid understanding of software development processes and best practices, ideally in Agile or DevOps environments.
  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks and tools, with the ability to identify opportunities to increase automation coverage.
  • Experience testing integrated systems and cloud-based applications in distributed or networked environments. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
  • A passion for quality and detail, with a proactive, continuous improvement mindset.

Ngā painga - what's in it for you?

We are an employer that is committed to making a difference for families and communities and supporting people to build rewarding careers. We achieve this through employing people who connect with our Values (Commitment to listen. Courage to Act and Integrity to Deliver) that underpin our way of working together. We are committed to investing in our people, developing both individuals and teams to support a high-performance culture.

  • We prioritise your wellbeing through health insurance after 12 months, annual flu vaccinations and extra sick leave in your first year.
  • We provide a comfortable work environment through modern office facilities with free onsite parking, gym, and café.
  • We recognise your commitment through long service benefits.
  • We balance work with fun through our active social club!

About Tait Communications

Our clients protect communities, power cities, move citizens, harness resources and save lives all over the world. We work with them to create, support and unify the critical communication solutions they depend on to do their jobs.

Digital wireless communication forms the central nervous system of everything we do. Around this resilient, robust core we design, develop, manufacture, test, deploy, support and manage innovative communication environments for organizations that have to put their total trust in the systems and people they work with.

We’ve worked hard to develop genuine insight into our clients’ worlds, and have pursued engineering, operational and services excellence for more than 40 years. This understanding, and our belief in championing open-standards technology, means we can give our clients the best possible choice and value to achieve the human outcomes they’re driven by.

We’re not simply aligned with our clients; we’re devoted to their cause.

Tait Communications’ sole dividend receiving shareholder is a charitable trust which shares the company’s operating profits across several donation and investment streams responsible for research and development, regional reinvestment and education. This rare model means clients can rely on Tait Communications to be an independent long-term player in the critical communications industry and to continue to play its role of ‘open-standards champion’.
