Job Description

The role is responsible for achieving sales targets and expanding the market for Abbott Rapid Diagnostic products across hospitals, diagnostic laboratories, clinics, and institutional accounts in Pakistan. The role requires strong field presence, relationship-building capabilities, and an understanding of local healthcare procurement systems, including private and public sector operations.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets within assigned territory
  • Ensure strong coverage of hospitals, private labs, collection centers, and clinics
  • Develop and implement territory action plans for product expansion
  • Work closely with local distributors to ensure stock availability and timely supply
  • Promote Abbott Rapid Diagnostic products
  • Conduct product presentations, demos, and training sessions for:
    • Doctors
    • Pathologists
    • Lab technologists
  • Organize CME sessions, workshops, and product awareness activities
  • Ensure effective in-clinic visibility and branding materials placement
  • Identify and develop opportunities in government hospitals, semi-government, and NGOs
  • Support participation in tender submissions and rate contracts
  • Build relationships with procurement departments and hospital administration
  • Maintain strong relationships with KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders) and decision-makers
  • Provide after-sales support and address customer complaints promptly
  • Coordinate with distributors for order processing, payments, and receivables follow-up
  • Track competitor brands (e.g., Roche, SD Biosensor, etc.) and market activities
  • Provide insights on pricing trends, product demand, and customer preferences
  • Identify opportunities for launching new products in the Pakistani market
  • Submit daily call reports and weekly sales updates
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities
  • Ensure compliance with Abbott SOPs and local regulatory requirements (DRAP guidelines)

Education/Knowledge & Experience:

  • Science Graduate/Master’s; preferably Pharm D/Microbiology/Biotechnology
  • Experience in institutional sales or working with distributors will be an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of local healthcare market in Pakistan
  • 2 - 4 years’ experience in relevant field.
