About the role

The Senior Tennis Coach – DITC role is based full-time at the Darwin International Tennis Centre “DITC”.The DarwinInternational Tennis Centre isoperatedby Tennis NT.At the Darwin International TennisCentrewe offer a variety of programs across all ages and skill levelsincluding Hotshots,school tennisprograms, holiday clinics, Adult Beginner and Cardio lessons and private lessons.

In this role you will

  • Actively involve all students on court andidentifyareas of playerimprovement

  • Provide opportunities for student progression and skill development througha range of learning and feedback methods.

  • Have the ability todeliver quality programs and performance outcomes across a rangeof programs

  • Understand the club offering, and the overall NT offering – and be able tocommunicate it clearly and confidently to promote tennis

  • Proactively and positively work with the NT tennis community to grow tennisin the NT.


About you

To be successful in this role you willhave

  • Prior teaching and tennis coaching experience across all ages and skill groups (preschool through to adults)
  • ATennis Australia Trainee Coach or the commitment andability toacquirea Junior Development Coach (level 1)qualification within 12 months
  • Senior First Aid including CPRqualification (or be willing to obtain)
  • Good knowledge of Tennis, and the Australian tennispathway
  • Racquet gripping and stringing experience (orability to learn)
  • Acurrent Police Checkand Working with Children Check(or be willing to obtain)
  • Preparedness to be flexiblein regard toworking hours and arrangements relating to work associated with TennisNT
