Position Summary:
The Senior Teller plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and supporting branch operations through accurate cash handling and transaction processing. This position includes minor supervisory responsibilities over teller staff, ensuring compliance with banking policies, and promoting a positive, efficient work environment. The Senior Teller serves as a key resource and role model for service excellence and operational integrity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accurately process various banking transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing in compliance with banking regulations.
- Maintain balanced cash drawers, monitor cash levels, and adhere to branch cash limits and security protocols.
- Supervise and guide teller staff, assist with training and coaching to improve team performance and customer service.
- Address customer inquiries, resolve concerns, and manage complex transactions to ensure positive experiences.
- Conduct daily audits, reconcile discrepancies, and escalate unresolved issues to branch management.
- Support branch operations such as vault management, ATM balancing, and opening/closing procedures as needed.
- Promote banking products and services by identifying customer financial needs.
- Ensure teller compliance with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Foster a collaborative, professional environment aligned with the bank’s mission and values.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

QualificationsKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong cash handling and customer service skills with keen attention to detail.
- Effective leadership and team motivation capabilities.
- Knowledge of retail banking operations, teller functions, and regulatory requirements preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with conflict resolution and coaching abilities.
- Proficient in banking software, teller systems, and standard office applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.

Education and

Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of teller or banking experience; or 2-3 years supervisory experience involving cash handling, customer service, and cash management operations such as balancing and reconciling cash drawers and safes.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
