In this team you will be working with our sophisticated financial software solutions. You will be the essential link between investment professionals and FactSet’s software. Combining a thorough understanding of finance and technology with specific expertise in the FactSet platform, you will help clients streamline the research and analysis process. FactSet’s business is based on 3 main pillars: Data, Software and Services. You will be part of the vital Services team that supplements the Data and Software business of our company.

Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior Reporting Specialist for our Vermilion Enterprise Client Reporting Solution to join our Buy-side Reporting Client and Managed Services team in Sofia – an individual who is enthusiastic, intellectually curious and takes pride in the work they do. We offer the opportunity to become a subject matter expert in FactSet’s sophisticated financial software solutions for Client Reporting with a focus on these 3 main areas:

Monitoring and advising our clients' environments

You will be expected to assist our clients with their business and technical requests, questions, and queries from the Reporting suite of products that Client Solutions covers. One of the main responsibilities of this role is to ensure the nominal operation of environments, by using our monitoring platforms and running ad-hoc checks on servers, databases and other components of the reporting platforms we service.

Project-related work

You will participate in non-Business-As-Usual (BAU) activities – change requests, software upgrades and other similar activities.

Integration of different systems within FactSet

Help integrate our different systems within a common platform using APIs, Web Services and different automation, scheduling and monitoring tools. This can involve the use of programming, scripting, database languages. 

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Responsible for automating a client environment, designing complex workflows, covering the full flow of financial data in our software – data loads, data checks, calculations, data extracts and reporting.
• Become familiar with all the functionalities of the product, including the different modules and methodologies but is more focused on its technical aspects such as: System Architecture, Application Server setup, Database and SQL tuning, Web Services.
• Analyzing and solving complex technical issues related to a client’s technical architecture, processing data, conducting specific investigations, including software testing
• Working with our global team of sales specialists and consultants, as well as interacting with our clients supporting them in their daily operations
• Become familiar with all the core functionality of the product and understand the financial logic behind the different modules and financial methodologies
• Help integrate our different systems within a common platform using APIs, Web Services and different automation, scheduling and monitoring tools. This can involve the use of programming, scripting, database languages.

Desired Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance or Mathematics.
• 2+ years of professional experience in relevant field
• Excellent communication skills in client-facing situations
• Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Team Player, Enthusiastic and Motivated
• Fluency in English, written and spoken is a must

Aptitudes in the below areas will give you an advantage over others, but are not obligatory:

• Stored Procedures writing and debugging
• Performance tuning of SQL code
• Familiar with some of the major DBMS like SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.
• Application server setup (e.g. Tomcat, JBoss/WildFly)
• Web Services, APIs, XML, JSON
• HTML syntax familiarity
• Experience with programming or scripting languages, e.g. shell, Python, Java, JavaScript, C#, VBA, etc.
• Knowledge of financial instruments or related software
• Any experience in Financial Reporting
• Technical skills with financial software applications
• Working with Excel (data and chart manipulation through VBA and other functions)
• Windows Servers, IIS
• SAML configuration / setup
