About the opportunity:

  • 12-month Fixed Term Contract (FTC) .
  • Based in North Sydney.

As a key figure in oOh! media’s business-led transformation, the Senior Technology Product Owner ensures features within our Inventory Platform are high quality, technically sound, and aligned with the core platforms that collectively deliver to business objectives. You will bridge business needs with technical execution, providing clarity and measurable value while managing cross-product dependencies.

Working closely with Business Project Leads, stakeholders, external vendors, and delivery teams, you will provide clarity on problems to be solved, prioritize delivery, and ensure platform capabilities support network operations, strategy, pricing, and asset monetization across the oOh! ecosystem.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with Business Project Leads and stakeholders to understand business intent and translate strategic priorities into sequenced platform outcomes and delivery increments.
  • Balanced Delivery: Balance business value, technical constraints, dependencies, and operational impact when planning platform outcomes.
  • Discovery & Validation: Use strong facilitation skills to lead discovery activities that clarify problems, explore options, and validate solution approaches.
  • Risk Management: Reduce delivery risk and test assumptions early by designing and running experiments, prototypes, spikes, or discovery activities.
  • Solution Design: Lead cross-functional solution shaping with Tech Leads, BAs, and UX to define scalable and delivery-ready platform solutions.
  • Cross-Platform Integration: Ensure platform capabilities integrate effectively with adjacent products and systems while maintaining operational integrity and managing platform risks.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor operational performance and business impact to evaluate whether intended outcomes and success measures are being achieved.

This is what you’ll look like:

  • Experience: Proven experience in platform ownership roles requiring strong technical fluency (e.g., engineering-adjacent PM/PO, platform/data product exposure).
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong technical fluency across integrations, APIs, data flows, and modern software delivery practices including CI/CD, observability, and risk management.
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the ability to navigate cross-team dependencies, align competing priorities, and drive cohesive platform solution outcomes.
  • Outcome Driven: Demonstrated ability to translate outcomes into deliverable increments through MVP slicing and iterative release strategies.
  • Navigating Ambiguity: Comfortable navigating ambiguity and effectively reducing risk through discovery, spikes, experiments, and incremental delivery.
  • Analytical Mindset: Uses data, evidence, and experimentation to guide decisions and validate assumptions.

Education & Accreditations:

  • Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Agile Skills: Familiarity with Agile principles (Scrum, Kanban) and tools such as Jira or Confluence.
  • Nice to Have: Experience in the OOH industry, digital media, advertising technology, or marketing environments is desirable.
