Position: Senior Technician - RM 5 Mechanical Shift

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technician to join our team in the RM 5 Mechanical Shift. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our rolling mill and maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain the rolling mill equipment, including but not limited to, reheating furnace, rolling stands, cooling bed, and finishing equipment
- Monitor and control the production process to ensure quality standards are met
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues that may arise during production
- Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with other team members to identify and implement process improvements
- Train and mentor junior technicians on equipment operation and maintenance
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment
- Keep accurate records of production and maintenance activities
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent, technical degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a steel company, specifically in a bar and wire rod mill rolling mill
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Experience operating and maintaining rolling mill equipment
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
