Senior Technician, QC Device

Exton, PA

The Senior Technician, QC Device will assure company products meet consistent & high quality by: assisting in the operation and development of QC functions for dsm-firmenich. They will be responsible for maintaining accurate and timely inspection of current products while following all customer requirements and established procedures, ensuring all dsm-firmenich products are of a high quality by conducting standard validation tests on equipment and products inspected and maintaining/organizing data in a manner that is compliant with GLPs and GMPs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow proper inspection techniques and all dsm-firmenich QC procedures.
  • Inspect in-coming materials, in-process components, and finished product; and document results.
  • Interface with suppliers as needed.
  • Review documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Maintain label control.
  • Accountable for materials stored in the QC Quarantine areas.
  • Perform routine lab tests for incoming and finished product testing.
  • Perform routine inspection of in-process and finished products in a Clean Room environment as required.
  • Perform non-routine tests involved with method development/improvement, process optimization studies, and validation and qualification projects as needed.
  • Assist the Biomaterials Manufacturing and R&D teams as needed.

You Bring:

  • Minimum of 2 -year technical degree or equivalent OJT; B.S. in mechanical engineering; or High School Diploma with at least 3-5 years of relatable job experience in a GDP/GMP environment.
  • Minimum 0-3 years precision mechanical measurement experience and must demonstrate inspection and testing responsibilities.
  • ASQC mechanical inspector certification a plus.
  • Must have good written and oral communications skills, computer literacy, and a good standard knowledge of units of measure.
  • Experience in a GMP/GDP Cleanroom Environment is preferred; ability to perform inspections in the cleanroom and follow all gowning procedures.
The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will bebased on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Hourly: $25/hour - $33/hour.
