JOB ADVERT: SENIOR TECHNICIAN – TRACTORS & RELATED EQUIPMENT

Our Client is a leading equipment and machinery provider known for supplying, maintaining, and supporting agricultural and industrial equipment across Kenya. The company specializes in tractor and related machinery solutions, offering after-sales service, technical support, and on-site assistance to ensure optimal performance and reliability for customers in the region.
Scope: Lead and supervise maintenance, installation, and commissioning of tractors and related equipment; mentor junior technicians; ensure high-quality service delivery in workshop and on-site.

Role Overview

Position: Senior Technician
Department: Operations
Reporting to: After-sales Service Supervisor / Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities

a) Plan and supervise daily and weekly work for the service team; ensure timely, accurate completion
of assignments.
b) Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of tractors and related machinery.
c) Provide high-quality pre-sales, sales, and after-sales technical support to customers.
d) Lead training for customers and team members; develop training plans.
e) Manage workshop tools and accessories; support cargo unloading and receiving inspections as
required.
f) Ensure safety in production and adherence to all safety rules and procedures.
g) Perform other tasks as assigned by leadership.


Requirements


Qualifications

a) Education: Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering Diploma or Degree.
b) Experience: At least 5 years in maintenance work involving mechanical and/or electrical
engineering; tractor/equipment experience preferred.
c) Physical: Male, age 30+, good health.
d) Certifications: Mechanical/electrical technical certifications as applicable.

c) Proven technical proficiency in mechanical and electrical systems
d) Problem-solving, planning, and execution
e) Safety compliance and risk management
