Job Description

The Senior Technical Writer works with different teams to create product content and documentation that help both internal teams and end users make the most of our solutions. Assists in managing the content throughout its entire lifecycle.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Support the writing team with technical writing methods, tools, and techniques
• Help solve issues in Agile workflows and publishing processes
• Ensure the writing team has the resources they need; manage the daily tasks of the writing team
• Improve current processes and suggest new methods for better results
• Lead projects that improve the Technical Writing team’s deliverables and processes
• Create documentation like release notes, user and admin guides, installation guides, quick references, knowledge base articles, and API documentation
• Edit and write content following style and editorial standards
• Work with UX, product, and engineering teams to design UI content
• Resolve any documentation issues raised by others; identify new documentation needs and opportunities; oversee and support all aspects of assigned documentation
• Help share knowledge across teams and guide others to create accurate content
• Assist in maintaining guidelines for documentation authors

Skills Required

• Bachelor’s degree
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI‑powered tools and technologies to streamline workflows, enhance decision‑making, and improve productivity; must stay current on emerging AI capabilities and incorporate them into day‑to‑day work.
• Experience writing or editing content like UI text, support articles, or knowledge base articles
• Familiarity with tools like Azure DevOps, Jira, or Rally
• Basic knowledge of source control tools like Git or Azure DevOps Repos
• Experience using Confluence and SharePoint
• Knowledge of HTML and CSS
• Experience with graphic editing tools and screen capture software
• Experience leading technical writers and helping others succeed
• Strong interest in helping users get the information they need
• Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Experience with writing and editing complex software documentation
• Strong grammar skills and the ability to create clear, simple documentation
• Great team player who can give and receive constructive feedback
• Ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment
• Experience working with teams across different time zones
• Familiarity with MadCap Flare, or similar tools
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
