ata Modeler/Data Mart developer JD

JOB Responsibilities -Engage the business users to assess their information needs.Review the business process and conceptualize the entities that interoperate within the business process.Determine how the various entities are related and develop entity relationship diagrams that represent the connections among the entities.Identify each entity's characteristics and properties and ensure that the entities can be differentiated within the model.Develop a logical data model and validate the model to ensure that it serves the needs of the business application and its consumers.Transform As-Is non-dimensional modeling layer to scaled dimensional model by identifying the right Facts, Dimensions by understanding the business processes and reporting requirements.Transform the logical representation of the model into a physical representation and work with database administrators to instantiate and manage the data.Collaborate with the BI and Analytics teams on creating the optimized, reusable semantic model, complete with metadata and lineage information.Optimize the model to ensure predictable performance.Maintain the metadata -- the "data about the data" describing the data model, its structure, and semantics.Recommend and establish standards, guidelines, and procedures for design and maintenance.

Required Qualifications:Proficient in industry standard techniques for data modeling. The Data Modeler must be proficient in 3rd normal form relational modeling. Dimensional modeling experience would be a strong added value for online analytical processing.Proven experience in an enterprise environment developing relational databasesProven experience developing models for Business Intelligence solutionsStrong analytical, data profiling and problem-solving skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAdvanced SQL skillsIn depth knowledge of modeling methodologies and techniques.In depth knowledge of facilitation and conflict resolution processes.Experience with Business Intelligence productsExcellent teaming and communication skills.Strong consultative, facilitation and consensus building skills

Key Responsibilities

1. To architect| design and develop (through Team) solution for product/project & sustenance delivery
2. To support as an Subject Matter Expert
3. To ensure knowledge up-gradation and work with new technologies so that the solution is current and meets quality standards and the client requirements
4. Ensuring a sufficient pool of skilled professionals in the designated technology, through activities such as conducting interviews, providing training sessions and offering mentorship.
5. To gather specifications and deliver solutions to the client organization based on understanding of a domain or technology.
6. To support competency development with envisioning and articulating propositions – building collaterals/ whitepaper creation, market trend analysis etc.
7. To recommend client value creation initiatives and implement industry best practices (on specific technology/product)
