Domain: Customer Onboarding Identity (COI)
Team: Dovetail
The team is responsible for managing non-personal customer onboarding applications within the COI domain. They oversee a range of applications and microservices that facilitate digital onboarding processes. Additionally, the team maintains a SaaS platform (Fenergo) utilized by both end customers and bank staff to support onboarding activities.
The team comprises a Platform Owner, Business Analysts, Developers, and Testers, supported by an Engineering Lead and adheres to Agile methodology throughout the software development lifecycle.

This is a permanent full-time position based in Wellington. It is a hybrid role with three days in the office and two days where you can work flexibly. Anchor days in the office are Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
What is the team culture and environment like?
COI is a people‑led domain that puts collaboration and shared ownership at the centre of how work gets done. What are 5 day to day tasks the person in this role will complete?
Configure Fenergo in alignment with specified requirements.
Collaborate with Business Analysts and stakeholders to refine requirements.
Confirm that all potential impacts, issues, and risks have been thoroughly evaluated.
Promote configuration changes across multiple environments, including production, ensuring that developed features align with business needs.
Support the definition of test cases and business-driven acceptance criteria.
What skills and experiences are required for this role?
Minimum 5 to 7 years of professional engineering experience in a relevant field is preferred
Hands-on experience with similar platforms such as Salesforce or MS Power Apps
Proven capability in leading impact analysis, managing dependencies, and driving business readiness.
Proven ability to engage and build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders — both business and technical.
Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with key concepts in programming, APIs and distributed systems.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to support the digitisation of non-personal onboarding at BNZ.
What is the most challenging thing about this opportunity?
Transitioning responsibilities from our external configuration partner, with a particular focus on independently managing and configuring the platform.
What will success look like for the candidate in this role?
Business requirement solution options are identified in collaboration with both BNZ and the SaaS vendor. Recommended solutions are then delivered with high quality and in a timely manner.
With training and support available, the individual would be expected to quickly become proficient with the SaaS platform.
