We are seeking a Technical Sales and Support Engineer to join our team in Singapore. This role combines pre-sales technical consultancy with post-sales customer support and solution delivery. You will work closely with customers, partners, and internal teams to design solutions, demonstrate product value, and ensure successful deployments and long-term customer satisfaction across the Asia-Pacific region. The role requires the candidate to travel in the APAC region. This is a full-time APAC role based in Singapore reporting to Head of TSS at Singapore center of excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Sales & Solution Design

  • Provide technical expertise during the sales process, including requirement analysis, solution architecture, and product demonstrations.

  • Conduct proof-of-concepts (PoCs), lab testing, and system validation.

Post-Sales Support & Delivery

  • Lead or support system implementation, integration, and commissioning at customer sites or remotely.

  • Provide 2nd/3rd line technical support for customers and partners, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

  • Deliver customer training and technical workshops.

  • Work closely with product management and R&D to escalate issues and provide customer feedback.

Customer & Partner Engagement

  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers and regional partners.

  • Build strong long-term relationships to support renewals, upgrades, and expansion opportunities.

  • Represent Appear at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events in the region.

Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 10+ years of experience in technical sales engineering, solutions engineering, or technical support within broadcast & media industries.

  • Strong knowledge of:

  • Video transport (SRT, RTP, MPEG-TS, ST 2110, ST 2022)

  • Encoding/Decoding

  • Contribution and Distribution workflows

  • IP networking and routing concepts

  • Linux-based system operation

  • Experience working directly with customers in a technical role.

  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Fluent in English; additional Asian languages are an advantage.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with broadcast contribution and distribution networks.

  • Familiarity with Linux environments and basic scripting.

  • Knowledge of cloud-based media workflows (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.

  • Experience supporting or selling hardware-based media processing platforms.

  • Comfortable with regional travel when required.

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
