We are searching for a knowledgeable and customer-focused Senior Technical Sales Associate to join our GAL Canada team at Vantage Elevation.
The Senior Technical Sales Associate serves as the company’s technical product expert, supporting sales, customer service, and technical support teams. This role works across departments to explain product capabilities to customers, answer complex technical questions, and ensure accurate product representation. The position also provides internal training to staff on the technical functionality and benefits of key products and will report to the Director, Sales Operations and Customer Support.

Responsibilities
- To manage and interpret customer requirements and specifications.
- Confer with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements
- Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support
- To work with various departments such as customer service, estimating, sales, and manufacturing, and ensure that client specifications are met.
- Help clients solve problems with installed equipment
- To solve problems and provide assistance to all company departments and answer questions about the technical functionality of mechanical equipment.
- To provide technical support for mechanical products.
- Responsible for orchestrating both simple and complex tasks with limited supervision. Additionally, the work and daily responsibilities will depend on his or her ability to produce results from existing limited solutions and to maintain a professional attitude.
- Act as an escalation for the Sales Team and communicate professionally with customers on an “as needed” basis.
- Maintain a log of consistent issues to track training and proficiency of team knowledge
- Organize training for sales dependent in response to team proficiency (open to other departments)
- Other technical sales duties as assigned
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a similar technical position
- Elevator industry experience is considered an asset
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Mathematics preferred.
- Position requires analytical, math, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional work ethics, time management, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Excellent communication skills and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision when required.
Position Details
- Full-Time hours, Monday to Friday, 8 am – 4:30 pm (Onsite)
- Office based in Mississauga, Ontario
- Base salary range: $110,000 to $125,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience)
- Target bonus of 10%
