Project Manager

We are seeking a hard-working, innovative, detail-oriented, and creative team player to join our Aptive team! This is a full-time, seasonal Senior Technical Project Manager position located in Provo, Utah This role will own critical product surface areas during a period of intensive hyperfocus and active remediation. The contractor will embed directly with engineering and operations to drive execution across Field Operations stabilization workstreams — Service Intervals, Routing/Dispatch, Stats, and IS/D2H Sales Flows. This is an execution-heavy engagement. The right candidate brings domain expertise in complex platform products, strong cross-functional instincts, and the ability to move fast in an ambiguous environment with real operational stakes.

Contract Duration: 6 months

Responsibilities include:

Stabilization Execution

  • Own the product surface area for assigned hyperfocus workstreams driving decisions and unblocking engineering daily

  • Partner with the Operations leader on tradeoff decisions requiring joint technology and operations alignment

  • Manage intake reform implementation — ensure ServiceNow ticketing, severity framework, and reporting cadence are operating as designed and adopted across stakeholder groups

  • Write and maintain clear exit criteria for each hyperfocus area; track and report status against those criteria in the daily Executive standup

  • Coordinate phased rollouts for 2 large initiatives, including field readiness, training sequencing with L&D, and blast-radius controls

Stakeholder Communication

  • Participate in the daily Executive standup; prepare the product section of the daily written summary

  • Send daily stakeholder updates by product area

  • Attend recurring forums with field leadership, sales leadership, and CSC; translate stabilization progress into operational terms

  • Surface ETAs for all open hyperfocus-area tickets; update requestors proactively when ETAs change

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Work daily with Engineering Managers and the on-call rotation to sequence work, validate severity declarations, and manage scope against the 80% hyperfocus commitment

  • Coordinate on stats workstreams and data-layer issues that surface as platform bugs

Documentation & Process

  • Maintain the Stabilization Plan as a living document — update open items table, own the SLA artifact deliverable, and ensure section 0 criteria are measurable and agreed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered

  • Experience in pest control, home services, field service management, or similar operationally complex industries

  • Familiarity with ServiceNow, ClickUp, or comparable ticketing and project management tooling

  • Prior experience in a contract or interim PM capacity during a platform stabilization or post-migration recovery

  • Exposure to data tools (Sigma, Snowflake, or similar) sufficient to evaluate stats accuracy claims with the data team

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of project management experience, with at least 2 years at a senior or staff level owning platform-critical domains

  • Proven experience owning complex platform products in high-stakes, fast-moving environments — ideally field operations, logistics, or service-industry software

  • Strong command of severity/priority frameworks, incident management, and the discipline to hold those boundaries under pressure

  • Ability to translate ambiguous operational problems into actionable product decisions with clear success criteria

  • Excellent cross-functional communication — comfortable presenting to executives and equally comfortable in a standup with engineers

  • Experience managing phased rollouts with operational dependencies: sequencing, blast-radius controls, and field readiness

  • Data literacy sufficient to partner with data engineering on pipeline issues, stats validation, and KPI baselining

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and organizational complexity — this engagement requires building trust quickly with a team under strain
