OPS | Project Management Office

The Project Management Senior (PMS) supports portfolios & project initiatives related to the entire UAMS enterprise. He or she is expected to be capable of working with minimal to no supervision & must appropriate judgment and operational considerations.
-Takes projects from original concept through final implementation.
-Defines project scope and objectives.
-Develops detailed project plans, schedules, estimates, resource plans, test plans and status reports.
-Conducts project meeting and is responsible for project tracking and analysis.
-Ensures adherence to quality standard and reviews project deliverables.
-Manages the integration of project tasks and tracks deliverables.
-Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team.
-Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.
-Other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications:
Master's Degree plus 3 yrs. Project Management experience or IT experience in a healthcare setting or any combination of the two, -OR- Bachelor's Degree plus 5 yrs. Project Management experience or IT experience in a healthcare setting or any combination of the two,-OR- Associate's Degree, plus 7 yrs. Project Management experience or IT experience in a healthcare setting or any combination of the two, -OR- High School Diploma or GED plus 9 yrs. Project Management experience or IT experience in a healthcare setting or any combination of the two. All also require at least five years’ of total combined experience in leading teams/projects. Able to work in MS Windows and client server environment; knowledge of information system software development standards and associated hardware resources.
Either current with (or finished w/in 1st year of employment): PMI's PMP
Must be skilled at personal communication (both in writing & orally). Must be competent at collaborating with others, facilitating meetings, and written communication. Must be thorough, detailed, and have excellent follow-through. Being highly organized is a must!
Preferred qualifications:
Baccalaureate Degree.
IT related degree or Healthcare Administration related degree.
Six years’ experience required in one or more of the following areas: project management, healthcare, academics, systems analysis or system support and must have at least five years of total combined experience in leading teams/projects.
