Senior Technical Program Manager - Ground Systems

As the Technical Program Manager for the Ground system, you will work with teams across Astranis to drive all aspects of Ground program execution including software and hardware development and operations. This is a specialized high-impact, high-visibility role within the Technical Program Management team and is focused on leading and managing the ground-based infrastructure and systems that support satellite operations and missions.

Role

• Develop integrated schedule for Ground infrastructure and operations including antenna and hub system development, deployment and operation of our global antenna network
• Drive priorities and execution of Ground development activities
• Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Sales, Regulatory, Supply Chain and Finance to remove day-to-day execution obstacles and keep the program on schedule
• Identify and drive risks to closure
• Communicate and track progress effectively
• Negotiate with internal stakeholders and work with international customers on Ground infrastructure development and mission operations
• Develop company-wide program management processes and initiatives
• Support trade studies, reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR), and anomaly resolution efforts

Requirements

• Expertise in developing and managing program schedules and complex interdependencies using tools like Smartsheet or Project
• Bachelor of Science (or similar) degree in a related engineering discipline
• Strong communication skills, both internal and external facing
• Proven ability to work in an ambiguous, fast paced environment, overcome obstacles with creative solutions, and clearly document/communicate tactical plans
• >5 years engineering experience on large complex hardware, software and operations programs
• >3 years engineering management or project management experience
• Experience deploying and scaling operations and infrastructure internationally

Bonus

• Familiarity with Smartsheet, Jira, and Confluence
• Experience in the satellite communication industry or related fields is a plus
• Experience with US Government satellite architectures and requirements
• Experience with telecommunications and networks

Astranis pay ranges are informed and defined through professional-grade salary surveys and compensation data sources. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, and the level and scope of the position.Base Salary $150,000—$210,000 USDU.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status Required
