Job Description

About Us:

Grow Therapy is on a mission to serve as the trusted partner for therapists growing their practice, and patients accessing high-quality care. Powered by technology, we are a three-sided marketplace that empowers providers, augments insurance payors, and serves patients. Following the mass increase in depression and anxiety, the need for accessibility is more important than ever. To make our vision for mental healthcare a reality, we’re building a team of entrepreneurs and mission-driven go-getters. Since launching in February 2021, we’ve empowered more than ten thousand therapists and hundreds of thousands of clients across the country and insurance landscape. We’ve raised more than $178mm of funding from Sequoia Capital, Transformation Capital, TCV, SignalFire, and others.

Why This Role Matters:

This role sits at the intersection of key technical programs at Grow — where strategy meets execution and complexity gets turned into momentum. As a Senior TPM on the Match Success team, you'll drive the programs that directly determine how quickly and effectively Grow connects people to care. You'll operate with real ownership across engineering, product, data, and design, cutting through competing priorities to ship what matters most. The impact is immediate, measurable, and national in scope.

What You’ll Be Doing:

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as a Senior Technical Program Manager, supporting our Match Success Group. In this influential role, you will partner with stakeholders within the technology organization to help drive efficiency and predictability in software engineering. As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will champion critical technical and cross-functional programs and projects, ensuring their seamless execution and successful delivery. You’ll be part of a small and growing TPM team within the engineering org, reporting directly to the Manager of Technical Program Management. If you thrive in a dynamic and innovative environment, possess strong leadership skills, and have a track record of driving impactful programs, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of defining, planning, and executing large-scale technical programs that solve complex problems within our organization.
  • Ensure the highest level of quality in project execution, consistently meeting or exceeding our high standards and delivering accurate results according to specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to drive and achieve objectives and foster a culture of accountability.
  • Work closely with engineering, product, data, and design leaders to align priorities, identify overlaps and possible efficiency gains among multiple projects, and ensure program objectives align with the tech organization's goals.

You’ll Be a Good Fit If you Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in technical program management or relevant experience driving complex, large programs within tech (startup and healthcare experience is a plus but not required)
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science (or equivalent experience working with software developer teams)
  • Proven experience in successfully defining, planning, and executing large-scale technical programs and projects, preferably in a fast-paced and innovative environment.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on finding creative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Deep understanding of technical program management methodologies and best practices.

Employment Type: Full Time, Exempt

Base Compensation: The base compensation range for this position is $152,000–$189,750 USD Annually.
The base compensation for this role will vary depending on several factors, including relevant experience, qualifications, and the candidate's working location.

Location: This is a hybrid role with the expectation to work onsite from our San Francisco hub location three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) and travel 2–3 times per year (e.g., company and department offsites).

Full Time Employee Benefits:

  • Comprehensive Health Coverage: Medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus life and disability coverage.
  • Parental Leave & Family Support: Up to 18 weeks paid leave and a new child stipend.
  • Financial Wellness: 401(k) program and equity opportunities.

  • Extra Perks: Pet insurance discounts, commuter benefits, and global travel assistance.

Research shows that some groups hesitate to apply unless they meet every qualification. If you’re excited about this role but don’t check every box, we encourage you to apply. At Grow, we value diverse experiences, transferable skills, and the unique strengths each person brings.

About Grow Therapy

Grow Therapy is an online therapy platform that makes mental health care easy to start, covered by insurance, and flexible enough to grow with your life.

We’re building a better kind of therapy—accessible, affordable, and made to fit real life. We sit at the intersection of people, providers, and partners, because that’s where change happens.

We believe change starts by empowering therapists. Grow’s smart platform helps independent providers build thriving practices by handling credentialing, billing, and client referrals—so they can focus on care. With business tools, a supportive clinical community, and growth resources like CE events and speaking opportunities, Grow helps providers practice with more freedom and more support.

Grow helps people find licensed therapists who reflect their lived experience, whether that means shared racial or cultural background, language, identity, or life stage. It’s easy to search by specialty, availability, and insurance. Many clients pay ~$21 per session with insurance; some pay $0.

With over 1 million clients served and thousands of providers, we’ve built trust the old-fashioned way: one session at a time.

Here’s how Grow makes therapy easier:

• Covered by insurance: 100+ plans, including Medicare and Medicaid

• Fast to start: Book online, begin in as little as 2 days

• Flexible scheduling: Virtual or in-person, evenings, weekends

• Built for you: Search by identity, specialty, language & more

• Clear cost estimates: No subscriptions

We’re rethinking not just how people access care, but how care feels, because life doesn’t pause between sessions, and with Grow, care doesn’t either.

We’re proud to grow with mission-aligned partners like Sequoia, SignalFire, Village Global, Airbnb, Nurx, PatientPing, and Blackstone—who share our belief that everyone deserves access to quality mental health care.
